The Human Side of Change: What We Learned Through Levvel’s Transition with Procom.

Change is what we do at Levvel—but being in the business of transformation doesn’t make us immune to the challenges that come with it.
Effective May 1, 2025, Levvel Inc. finalized an Asset Purchase Agreement with Procom Consultants Group Ltd., under which Procom acquired all assets of Levvel’s Talent Division (Staffing and Recruitment Services). It was a strategic decision aligned with our long-term vision and values. But behind that transaction was something much more personal: a very human journey.
This transition involved saying goodbye to team members we deeply respect, adapting to a new organizational structure, and navigating a process that was emotional, complex, and full of valuable lessons.
As we reflect, we wanted to share some of those lessons with you, not as a polished case study, but as genuine thoughts from real people who have gone through it.
“That sometimes teams need to lose good people, and taking a human approach to those conversations goes a long way in maintaining trust and relationship in times when that can easily be broken,” shared Courtney Weiss, Head of Strategy and Client Solutions.
We’ve always known relationships matter. But this experience reminded us that *how* you say goodbye speaks volumes to the people who stay—and to the market that’s watching.
Brian Milloy, Co-Founder and CEO, reflected on that exact point: “Going through a divestiture is a complex, emotionally charged process, especially when high-performing, good people are let go. Change is hard and should be done with transparency and empathy… how people are treated on their way out (i.e. respect, severance, communication) sends a powerful signal to those who stay, and to the market.”
That’s why we chose to lead with integrity, even when it was uncomfortable.
“Give yourself and your team time to process what the change means and give room for open and honest conversations,” said Allanah Poirier, Head of Operations.
Change management isn’t just planning and metrics—it’s people.
“Don’t overlook the impact change can have on all team members, especially during a re-org. Losing people is always hard (especially when you like them, ALOT), and it also impacts those who stay,” said Lise Mousseau, Manager, Product and Consulting.
In any reorganization, there’s a ripple effect. The goodbye isn’t limited to the people leaving. Those who remain are watching, adjusting, wondering what’s next. That’s why we leaned into our Balanced Change™ principles—helping people accept, adapt, and find meaning in the change.
Chantal Milloy, COO and Co-Founder, made a conscious choice to stay present throughout the transition. “As a leader, when you have to make organizational changes, it’s important to be available and accessible to your people at all times. Sometimes people just need to talk through how they are feeling, and they want to know that the leaders of the organization understand how the change will affect them personally and feel reassured that you are there to help them through it.”
This isn’t about control—it’s about connection. Being seen, being heard, and knowing someone is in your corner.
“Workplace changes can be unsettling, it’s important to stay optimistic. Answers will come as the change unfolds,” said Brigitte Mundy, Business Administrator.
In the middle of change, the future isn’t always clear. But optimism doesn’t require certainty. It requires trust in each other, in the process, and in the idea that this shift is leading somewhere better.
Going forward, we will focus exclusively on our core strength: Organizational Change Management.
This transition gave us the chance to practice what we teach. We didn’t just talk about change—we *lived* it. We leaned heavily on our Balanced Change Approach, which helped us lead with empathy, reduce risk, and build a more stable path forward.
Now, as Levvel moves ahead with intentionality and refined strategic direction, we’re not just proud of the decision—we’re proud of how we moved through it.
Because change, done well, doesn’t just shift systems. It strengthens people.
